Bath Salt Recipes/ How To Make Bath Salts

In modern arena of health care, especially in the segment of holistic approach, the use of bath salts become essential for taking a good care of body system both at physiological level as well as psychological level. You can prepare bath salts at your own home following few basic guidelines.

Making bath salts is very easy and cheap. You will need the following things for making homemade bath salts. You will need two cups of Epsom salt (Magnesium sulphate) and a few tablespoons of cocoa butter. Add Epsom salts in a mixing bowl and grind the cocoa butter to a powder in a blender and mix it with the Epsom salt. Fill the contents in a fancy bottle and one or two cups of the mixture into the bath. There you have it, a simple bath salt. You can also make scented bath salts by adding essential oils and powdered milk to Epsom salt. Bath salts provide a relaxing feel in a bath tub. It also acts as a cleansing agent. They can also be found in your local departmental stores. But If you are planning to undergo aromatherapy, the followings would be a good choice for you and it is also very easy to understand.

Mix 5 cups of Epsom salts, 2½ of baking soda and 1 cup of sea salt in a large glass jar. Do not forget to take the jar with lid. Shake it very well so that it can be blended nicely.

Mix 1 tbsp of honey with boiling water and dissolve it. Mix 1 tbsp of sea salt and 2 tbsp of baking soda in the bath water. Now mix the honey mixture within the bath water. Then add 2 cups of milk within the bath water. Do not forget to add 8-10 drops of vanilla water.

Bath Salt Scrub/ Bath Salt Tubes

This is quite simple really, you need some course sea salt, the addtion of a few herbs like rosemary, and lavender and even lemon verbena, is a good idea. Then take a piece of towelling and sew it into a envelope by sewing up three sides of a rectangular piece of towelling doubled over. Fill it with the course salt and herbs, or the bath salt mixture you prefer, and then sew it closed. Use in the bath to exfoliate areas like elbows, feet, back of arms and thighs. This treatment is very effective. You can also add some olive oil to the same mixture, and store it in a jar, to use when you need it.

Relaxation with a Bath Salt

There will be no doubt about in this fact that a hot bath combined with bath salts is usually the best way to relax after a stressful day and it may also be a good idea to have an early night so that you feel refreshed the whole night. After refreshment with bath salt every thing you do is just perfect like, Reading a book can also help, as well as doing something else that you enjoy, such as watching television or, particularly in summer, perhaps go for an evening walk.
